What is really important is having someone on your side that helps you along with the negotiation process, that is what is truly important. Instead of going straight to the builder because they want to sell you a house, they might miss some important things along the way. I want to reiterate that is not always the case, there are some GREAT builder representatives out there, don't get me wrong but having representation on your side is the best way to go about it Getting a better deal is sometimes true, sometimes it is not. Now that I look back I wish we would have found someone with experience to help us ask those hidden questions that you may not think about. We were so excited to be purchasing our first home, that we overlooked many important things. I also think we would have been able to possibly get a better deal on the home if we would have used someone that knew how to negotiate.
